Conference layout
 Arrival / entrance
The closest and most direct entrance to the DebConf17 Front Desk is the 2701 Rue Nicolet entrance.
After 22:00, all venue doors will be locked. If you're arriving late, only the Nicolet entrance will be open.
Please note that, unless you're arriving with luggage, you may be required to present your conference badge to get in.
 Talk rooms
Talk room presentations will be livestreamed between August 6 and 12.
 Buzz (Salle Sylvain-Lelièvre)
Buzz is the venue's main auditorium and is accessed from the main hall.
The opening and closing ceremonies will be held in this room.
 Rex (Vivoir)
Rex is located just opposite of the front desk, next to the interior garden.
 Bo (B-5501DEF)
Bo is on the 5th floor of the venue. Take the escalators (or elevator) up to the 5th floor and follow the signs.
 BoF and self-scheduled talk rooms
Both and self-scheduled talk rooms are located in E block, one skip away from the main hall.
The details for signing-up self-scheduled sessions will be announced later.

In hacklabs you will find power outlets and wired network connections. They are open 24 hours.
 Interior garden
The green hacklab.
The interior garden is accessible from Rex or from the main hall (through the Salon).
DebCamp food and evening drinks (beer) will be served in the interior garden.
 Hamm (D-2632A)
The noisy hacklab.
Hamm is located in the back of the cafeteria, on the left (coming from the main hall).
The quiet hacklab.
Slink is accessible right from the main hall. It'll open on August 5th.
 Front Desk (B-2209)
The Front Desk is the large windowed room in the main hall. The Front Desk's role is to handle on-site registration and provide all manner of useful information about the venue and conference program.
Go there if you want to register, grab your badge and swag, buy food tickets, ask about meal times, WiFi code, etc.
Front Desk will open on Tuesday, August 1st, and from then on every day between 10h00 to 13h00 and 14h30 to 18h00. It may open longer hours depending on the availability of volunteers.
 NOC (B-2206)
The network operations centre (NOC) will be located in the hall on the other side of Bo.
It will be the home of the Video and Infrastructure teams.
 On-site accommodation
On-site accommodation will occupy E block (where Potato and Woody are located), on levels 1, 3 and 4. Follow the signs from the main hall.

The designated parking area for DebConf attendees is the P1 parking, accessible from Nicolet street. Tickets are 12 CAD per day and are obtained at ticket machines.
You can also park a vehicle on the street curb but beware of the restrictions if you want to avoid fines!
 Bike racks
The bicycle rack in front of the 2701 rue Nicolet entrance is the designated parking for DebConf two-wheelers.
- The 2701 Nicolet, Bourbonnière and the E-block/P1 entrances are wheelchair-accessible
- Participants are allowed to use the elevators
Smoking is prohibited by law everywhere inside the venue and areas within 9 meters of doors, windows and air intake vents. The applies to e-cigarettes as well.
- The designated area for smoking is the P1 parking. To reach it, go to E block, past the childcare area, then down to the ground level and exit.
- Please do not smoke near the 2701 Nicolet entrance during the day time (before 18:00) as there will be kid traffic at times.
- Please don't throw your filters on the ground.
Drinking alcohol, whether bought from the bar or from a store, will only be permitted in the Interior garden and Rex between 18:00 and 3:00 AM.
Please refrain from carrying and drinking alcohol in all other indoor and outdoor spaces around the venue.
Please drink in moderation. Drunken, disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
 Football field
The football field is reserved for the children's camp for the duration of DebCamp and DebConf. However, we have permission from the camp administrators to use the field for sports everyday after 16:00. To gain access to the field (there's a lock on the gate), you need to request the key from the venue security desk, on level 3 near the 3800 Sherbrooke entrance.
