- Munich
- Population: 1,388,308
- Ease/convenience of getting all strange and regular kinds of hardware?
- Electronic/electricity shops: Several within less than 5 km
- Computer stores: Several within less than 2 km, including Schillerstraße (_the_ computer store area within 100 km)
- Supermarkets, etc. TODO/Nisre
- Good accessibility in both the city and the venue.
- Nearest airport: Munich (MUC), the second largest in Germany; easy to reach by car & public transport
- Cheap airlines: all the usual ones (except RyanAir, they land between Munich and Augsburg)
- Direct flights to a lot of locations in Europe, and some locations in the rest of the world (Beijing, Dubai, Mumbai, Los Angeles, Mexico, Sao Paulo, Cape Town, Vancouver, etc)
- Airport to venue:
- Public transport: ~1 hour
- Car: ~30 min
- Friendly towards foreigners: Many cultures and peoples in Munich, every local speaks enough English so that no one will starve or stay lost for long

- How much does it cost to rent these facilities? -- TODO: Most likely nothing
- How far away are the locations from each other? (auditoriums, hacklabs, restaurant, sleeping quarters, info
desk) -- Venue is within one single building, catering on site. Restaurants in walking distance. Sleeping quarters ~10 min by foot. Info desk on site.
- What kind of places are available suitable for hacklabs, workshops, BoFs and talks? martin

- Are tables/chairs fixed, or can we arrange them to fit more people/give more room to the people that we need? - Large auditoriums with fixed seating, everything else can be re-arranged.
- Is the venue ready for handicapped people? Note: Keep in mind that it's not only motion-handicapped - Is the area safe for people with any kind of handicap? (There are sight and hearing-impaired people, too.) Bonus: What people is it not good for? -- Fully accessible
- Access to all areas with ramps and/or elevators? (Note: carrying somebody over some steps is not usually an acceptable option.) - Of course.

- No consumption of alcohol on public transport
- No taking opened alcoholic beverages outside from venue after 22:00 (i.e. to prevent noise when people smoke/talk outside). We would need to have security to verify this

- How much are the meals per person per day? - TODO
- Is the eating place near the talks place / the hacklabs? - Within the same building
- What kind of food would be served? - Omnivore, herbivore, vegan
- In what fashion? (service to the table, limited buffet, open buffet, etc.) - Open buffet.
- Would food for vegetarian / vegan / lactose-intolerant / gluten-sensitive / religious (of any denomination) people be available? - vegetarian, vegan: yes; rest needs to be evaluated, but vegan should cover everything except gluten.
- How much meals do we need to order to get those kind of "special" meals? - Irrelevant as that's simply part of the requirements.
- Will it cost extra to get those special meals? - It will cost us extra, but not the individual persons.
- In a two week period, how many more or less equal meals can we expect? - Unless we want to: none?

- Is the area already wired with regular network infrastructure? (much preferrably: 100Mbps or 1Gbps switched)
- Venue: Wired and wireless on site. Wired only needed for video?
- Accomodation: Unclear, but in contact with potential sponsor of 1G.
- How much does it cost and how difficult is it to get a big internet connection? (10/20 Mbits at least) - LRZ will sponsor Internet...
- How much work does it imply to cover the area with wireless links? - all covered
- If we use someone else's infrastructure, how easy / flexible can that be handled, regarding routing / firewall / ip-range / public access / other stuff? - Unclear, but in contact with LRZ- Alternatively with the ZIT (Zentrale IT).
- Do we have restrictions on allowed ports? - 99% no.
- Are we traffic-shaped? Or can we set a traffic shaper if we need so? - The plan is to over-provision by an order of a magnitude to keep things simple.
- Would it be possible to set up the network before Debcamp? (a day or two, earlier would be nicer, in order to handle problems gracefully. Additional weeks for wireless.) - Yes.

- Without negotiating special group prizes, these are the prices for 2014:
- 12 1-bedrooms with shared bathrooms (36 €)
- 12 2-bedrooms with shared bathrooms (29 €)
- 10 1-bedrooms ensuite (50 €)
- 25 2-bedrooms ensuite (39 €)

- Is the place where people are going to sleep near the conference facilities? - 900 meters, only one big street crossing, ~10 min walk
- Is it able to handle a varying number from 200 to 500 people? - 400 is possible, for more people, some would need to stay at other nearby hotels.
- Is it able to handle non-native speaking people? (i.e. do the people at the sleeping facilities speak English?) - Speak English
