Debian Day is a day full of talks and workshops about different topics for "normal" interested people, press and companies. It's a day for people which are not deeply involved in Debian, but are curious about it.

It will take place on the 9th of June in Helsinki, direct prior to DebConf5, see .

Some of the topics, that will be covered are:

  • "What is Debian" by Jaldhar H. Vyas
  • "What is Free Software"
  • "Howto help Debian" by Alexander Schmehl
  • "A quick overwiev to custom Debian Distributions and Debian derivatives" by Aigars Mahinovs
  • Branden Robinson, newly elected Debian Project Leader, will deliver a talk, too.

More Information and a schedule will be available soon.
