We have a freeswitch instance running on obelix
All attendees have accounts, with their extension being a 1 followed by 4 digits based on their login name.
All accounts currently have a password of 1234 -- tell fil if you want more security than that for some reason.
So, in the case of user philh, the account is 17445, so the details for your voip client are
Display Name: Phil Hands Account name: 17445 Authentication name: 17445 Password: 1234 Registrar: dc8.debconf.org
You're welcome to use this for outgoing calls, but please be aware that mobile calls and some destinations do cost something, so please don't take the piss (or if you have to, then by me (Phil Hands) a beer in penance ;-)
When you call international numbers, please don't use the + for country code, but the 00 instead. So, e.g. to call in Switzerland, you should call 00410123456789@dc8.debconf.org.
Inbound calls are also possible. The DC7 number (+441315168575) rings through to group 01 -- at present, the black hacklab phone is part of that group. To join the group from your extension, dial 8101. To leave the group, dial 8001.
