Debian Day
Debian Day will take place on July 7th, 2012 at the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA).
Debian Day kicks off DebConf, is free of charge and open for everybody interested in Free Software. During this event, there will be a full day of talks on several subjects such as free software in government, design and free software, free software advocacy as well as string of talks about the Debian project and operating system.
The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common cause to create a free and open operating system. This operating system that we have been creating is called Debian GNU/Linux, or simply Debian for short. Every year, DebConf allows new and existing Debian project participants from around the world to assemble, share knowledge and ideas, make collaborative contributions to Debian, build tighter community bonds and improve communication within the project.

Día de Debian
El Día de Debian se realizará el 7 de Julio del 2012 en las instalaciones de la Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) en Managua, Nicaragua.
El Día de Debian marca el inicio del DebConf. Es un evento completamente gratuito y abierto para todas las personas interesadas en el Software Libre. Durante este evento habrá un día lleno de Charlas sobre distintos temas como: Software Libre en el gobierno, diseño y Software Libre, promoción de Software Libre, además de charlas sobre el proyecto Debian y el sistema operativo Debian.
El Proyecto Debian es una asociación de individuos que tienen como causa común la creación de un sistema operativo libre y abierto. Este sistema operativo que hemos estado creando se llama Debian GNU/Linux o simplemente Debian. Cada año, DebConf permite a participantes del Proyecto Debian nuevos y viejos, alrededor del mundo, reunirse, compartir conocimiento e ideas, hacer contribuciones colaborativas a Debian, construir lazos más estrechos en la comunidad y mejorar la comunicación dentro del proyecto.
