Minidebconfs

Minidebconfs are a day or two day regional events geared towards having more Debian users, contributors in any meaningful way. You could have installation and introductory workshops where you introduce Debian to new users. You could have packaging workshops where people work on a package or two. There is usually one package which a DD uses as his(her) favorite example and usually proceeds using their favorite tool, usually a dh-($language) .

For the users, they come to know of a new way of doing things and perceiving both software services and the culture associated with it. For the contributors and Developers, a chance to interact with new users with their various needs, a chance to challenge themselves and at times also a new place to see.
