DebConf attendee needs a valid passport to enter in Nicaragua and few further requirements according the citizenship of attendee (see the tables below).
If you need a visa, consider to apply for it as soon as possible.

== Citizen of ''category A'' Countries ==

Nationals from these countries don't need to ask for a visa to enter Nicaragua, only:
* a valid passport with an expiration date no less than six month
* a return ticket and,
* 10 USD (or the tourist fee), when entering the country.

Requirements for nationals from these countries:
* Go to the nearest embassy or consulate and fill a visa application.
* Two photos, passport size.
* Copy of valid passport with an expiration date no less than six months.
* Copy of all of the visas in the passport.
* Application letter to the Ambassador or Consul, specifying the purpose of the travel, the date of departure and arrival and adress/telephone number in Nicaragua.
* Interview with consular officer.
* $30 US dollar fee for issuing the visa.

Requirements for nationals from these countries:
* Go to the nearest embassy or consulate and fill a visa application.
* Two photos, passport size.
* Copy of valid passport with an expiration date no less than six months.
* Copy of ID card (front and reverse).
* An affidavit (sworn statement of fact witnessed as to the authenticity by a notary public) stating that the applicant will abandon the country at the date specified in the application letter.
* Application letter to the Ambassador or Consul, specifying the purpose of the travel, the date of departure and arrival and adress/telephone number in Nicaragua.
* Birth certificate (original and translated to Spanish).
* Health certificate (original and translated to Spanish).
* Police certificate (criminal record - original and translated to Spanish).
* $30 US dollar fee for issuing the visa.
