Just a small suggestion for improvement. A little minus to the new method of getting the slides directly from the speakers laptop and not by capturing them by camera is that some speakers use laserpointers to show some elements. E.g. in 563_the_Debian_Videoteam_--_Behind_the_Scenes.ogg Holger shows a gui and points out single elements. Oh, no, he did not. He used his hands. But I think I saw it in some video. Of course, watching the video one can not follow. I do not know how to tackle this thing. Maybe reminding speakers to avoid laserpointing and use their mouse like in screencasts. Of course, this is a minor issue and really not important. Just thought I should share this impression. Another thing: You need more hardware. Is there anywhere a list what you would like to have and how much this would actually cost? Is it worth buying it or is renting maybe more efficent? Holger mentioned someone donating for hardware. I e.g. would like to donate to get this even better and so might others. So a list of things needed/nice and a rough estimation on the prize would be nice. The 500 Euro made a difference, so it seems there is not

  • so* much money needed to really make you guys happy and really see

an effect. As I said on the thank you page, your work is, I think, extremely valuable for the project.
