Full Government Support

[edit] Government benefits from DebConf

We have full government support for this event to take place. We were promised 150.000 euros, reason this number is not mentioned on the memorandum itself is from purely political and diplomatic reasons, due to the fact that if we need more then 150.000 euros you need new memorandum, in case we spent less money, it all has to be explained.

This binding paper was made because of what happened in Spain.

Also please note, that this paper binds the government to be full financial sponsor, not depending who the prime minister is or what party is in the charge, as long as there is Government of Republic of Srpska we have the full support to have this conference.

Why such commitment from Government?

Our Government is trying to enrich our economy, tourism, and of course the way we educate our young population to a higher level.

That being said, our Government saw DebConf11 as an opportunity to do just the things mentioned above, for our country this wouldn't be "just another conference" but could mean a complete change in many aspects from technology to economy.

After carefully reviewing Debian Conference and all that comes with it, they decided that they will help us as much as they can, hence signing us the binding papers saying they will provide us with full financial support.

For government such as ours this is great way enhance and improve tourism, education, academic structure overall prosperity.

It's also important this first successful time in our country they enabled us with so such funds and support.
